Strength of Materials by Pytel & Singer

One of the many subjects in General Engineering and Applied Sciences or GEAS is 'Strength of Materials' and it is arguably one of the most difficult too among ECE reviewees. But then again, the subject only focuses on forces acted on a certain body which is not in fixed position or not rigid unlike in Engineering Mechanics. Topics on this subject ranges from simple stress, shear stress, simple strain, shear strain etc. to thin-walled pressure cylinders and spheres and up to helical springs, torques, deformation, elongation among others. Here's a great e-book about Strength of Materials which features different problem solving questions some of which might even similar to past board exam questions in GEAS. Strength of Materials Fourth Edition by Andrew Pytel & Ferdinand  L. Singer is one of the most common references about Strength of Materials and you can now download yourself a copy in the link below. Enjoy!
